At a casino in Nevada, as the employees are busy with their boring jobs as usual the TV news report is airing about a nuclear test by the United States military moments later however, something goes wrong with the test, and a nuclear blast occurs huge blast waves come soon and knock out power to the casino and the whole area  right at that time, the casino employee Tom and his colleague Tori are killing their boring time  by playing a fast hormone-let-go game secretly in a stock room underground  resulting in their surviving the deadly nuclear blast  but being trapped behind the electronic lock when the power is restored, they return to the gamble tables  but get shocked to find the casino trashed and people gone except for an old zombified lady who attacks Tori Tom manages to drag it away from Tori and kills it with a chair leg in fear and confusion, they encounter a technician who claims to have luckily survived the blast while conducting some maintenance underground  the technician then takes Tom to check the casino security cameras  they're frightened to see that people on the street have all been zombified by the nuclea radiation and begin to attack those human survivors a selfish guy saves himself by throwing a man to feed the zombies before rushing to the casino to escape their attack he's allowed to get inside by the technician before it's too late despite Tom's complaining about his selfishness causing the death of an innocent man for their safety, Tom and Tori search every floor of the building  and trap the zombies left inside   later, they find a survivor who's trapped in a hotel room  in the escape however, the girl makes some noise by accident driving the nearby zombies to come for them instantly and attack the girl with no better choice, Tom and Tori jump to the swimming pool down there and narrowly escape out before getting bitten by a zombie hidden underwater  in the following days, the remaining four stay temporarily safe inside the casino  thanks to its well-built defense system and the food supplies left behind however, believing that their comfort zone won't last for long without any back-ups Tom proposes to leave the casino and find the next shelter  but to no success, for the rest are unwilling to risk their lives in the unknown world outside one night while on the roof, Tom spots a convoy of trucks in the far distance which he believes is a good chance to escape the trapped hell they set a big bonfire later so as to draw their attention  but to no avail due to the far distance  noticing that the zombies appear to be sleeping at night they decide to use a spotlight from across the street to attract the convoy  with the technician left behind for back-up the three make their way noiselessly through the sleeping zombies but Tori nearly wakes up a zombified police officer as she tries to grab his gun they reach there safely and turn on the spotlight which shines up into the sky but unexpectedly activates the music  waking the zombies suddenly and driving them to attack the helpless three right at that critical moment, the technician figures out a way to distract the zombie away  by sending a toy car with flaming fireworks to run through the zombie crowd  the three descend from the stage and rush to the casino quickly  but unfortunately, only the selfish guy makes it successfully  while Tom and Tori miss the chance and have to hide inside an abandoned bus the technician accuses the selfish guy of leaving the two behind but the selfish guy seems to feel not guilty about that  as all the zombies on the street are swarming to the bus  and competing violently for the only few human survivors Tom and Tori, out of fear, begin to blame each other for the decision they've made  which however, wakes up a sleeping zombie on the bus  it charges at Tom out of sudden and bites one of his fingers before Tori kills it   to avoid any infection, she chooses to cut off his injured finger despite his great pains  fortunately, the convoy arrives in response to the spotlight rescuing Tom and Tori with their heavy weapons  right after being set free from the zombies the two never expect that the coming soldiers disarm them soon and put them under control inside the casino the army's medic girl patches up Tom's hand  and tells him that the group is headed to Lake Tahoe  where it's said to be safe from the nuclear radiation Tom expresses his wish to leave with the convoy  but later, the group finds that the soldiers behave a little bit suspicious  and keep a close watch on them wherever they go the technician sneaks around someday and discovers that the army has taken all of the food and supplies in the stock room  with the help of the selfish guy who betrays the rest three, trying to please the army and leave with them the technician turns mad about that and confronts the soldiers and the selfish guy  but gets shot by the soldier suddenly before he can make any strike  during the chaos, Tori shoots at them with the dropped gun and hides for safe  while Tom, being urged to leave together by the medic girl though  stalls the soldiers by claiming that there's another stock room left with supplies the army then forces Tom to show them the way  Tom leads them to the "stock room" finally  and releases dozens of hungry zombies trapped inside earlier  who charge at the soldiers violently and claim many lives of them with only a few fleeing the casino in a panic  left alone in the casino again Tom and Tori begin to worry about their future without any food supplies they plan to escape out with a car and get the car key successfully from a walking dead with the car key in hand, they later search the parking lot for the car  but get attacked by a lying dead under a car Tom gets frightened and shoots the zombie with a shotgun whose loud noise however, activates the car alarms  the two run away and locate the exact car finally  however, upon finding that they can't forcibly break the locked garage door  they return to the casino for safe right before the zombies approach near that night on the rooftop, in fear and despair though Tom and Tori decide to let go of their supposedly one last shot of hormones  before getting eaten up by the zombies however, they're disrupted at the right time  and astonished to find that the medic girl returns in a pickup truck  but rolls over in a crash when a zombie surprises her  fortunately, Tom manages to save her out with an iron cage  and brings her back inside  she tells them that the convoy was attacked in the desert by a herd of faster, stronger zombies  and no one survived but her  Tori however, accuses the girl and the soldiers of taking away all of the food supplies  and becomes jealous of the girl who's believed to be her hormone rival  for the only man left in the zombified world the next day, they're astonished to find the herd of stronger zombies has arrived at the city and is breaking the casino barricade  the three decide to use the explosive to escape  they open all the gas line on the kitchen stoves and set a charge as they are escaping, the medic girl is attacked by a zombie and breaks her ankle badly believing it would be a huge burden to carry the hormone rival Tori tries to convince Tom to leave her behind  when Tom refuses, Tori hits him and medic girl with an ax  she then takes the shotgun and leaves for the garage while setting an explosive charge at the garage door  Tori falls into a dogfight with a zombie coming for her the subsequent blast knocks them down and breaks the door  which however, drives more zombies to charge at Tori  while she's recovering her consciousness on the other side, Tom and the medic girl rush to hide underground  right before the second explosive charge goes off  smashing the buildings into pieces and killing numerous zombies as well the surviving two later make it to the parking garage  where they find the smart car that Tori and Tom tried to escape in earlier  and drive it to flee the zombified city immediately however, they never know that a zombified girl Tori is left behind killing the weaker zombies and making her way to the Queen of the zombified world
